Funding approved by Province for new Leduc high school

On September 29, 2021, the Government of Alberta announced that five new high schools are moving ahead through a public-private partnership (P3), which will save Alberta taxpayers $114.5 million, support 1,678 jobs and provide about 7,000 new student spaces as part of Alberta’s Recovery Plan. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit their naming ideas for the new Leduc high school! The submission period has now ended.

The Naming Committee will create a shortlist from all submissions received for the Board of Trustees to review and select the winning name, which will be announced on March 13, 2022. 

The winning name submission will receive a Black Gold Prize Pack!
